I actually just got Branded to Kill with Eng subs. Too sleepy to watch it all but will soon enough. I will check those sites and figure out how to use them. Thanks for the visits and keep up the good work at your site too. I am about to head over there and to a couple others I like before signing off. I did activate the reCapctha thing and disabled it for now. I was worried some people just would not comment if they had to monkey with it. You can change the letters, refresh, but I do not seem to have too much trouble now. Your posts come right through since I allowed you once. Not too many robots, if any, ever get through. I spam them and they never come back
BILL

Try Kloofy.net, Subscene.com, or Opensubtitles.org. I've even reburned a few of my DVDs (like God of Cookery, which had HORRIBLE subtitles) with superior fansubs.

I actually recently tried to get Branded to Kill from a Rapidshare site but one part will not load. Part 4 I think, and so none of the files will open until that part comes through. I will probably try another site soon as I enjoy the film now, with no subs. I just got Tokyo Drifter but have not had time to watch it.

Branded to Kill is a pretty cool film. I do recommend checking it out with subtitles at some point; Criterion put out a nice DVD.

Strangely I really hated Suzuki's fairly recent remake of it (Pistol Opera) when I saw it a few years back. Maybe I need to give it another shot.

Nice list of films. :)

Yes I agree with you. Although some of have sites that focus on a particular area or filed, as it should, often our private tastes can be very different. One of my favorite movies is David Lean's Doctor Zhivago, but how would I fit that in here? Well, I do not think we are bound by rules since no ones pays us for this and we sepnt sometimes hours in front of a monitor hoping to just get a comment or two or go over 100 hits for a day in Google Analytics. I am also a big fan of Woody Allen films, all his stuff, even his dramas. But how can I juxtapose that against The Giant Claw (coming soon)? Well thanks and I will be stopping by Retrospace shortly to see if you have posted anything on Bobby Sherman.BILL

Wow. Like I've said before, this meme was interesting because it came at a totally different angle from each participant. Yours, becca's, tal's (which was not just vampire movies, by the way!) chick's, etc. were all so different that I got something new to put in my Netflix queue with each list. One thing that held true for all of these lists, however, was that they generally contained movies that are a bit off the beaten path or lesser known, and thus a joy to read.

Keep it coming at the Uranium Cafe. I must say, if I had experienced the technical difficulties you've had to deal with, I'd probably have thrown my PC in the garbage and said to hell with it. Thanks for sticking with it.

Thanks for the kind words and they only encourage me. I am watching The Thing again now and cam eback to check on some downloads, movies and music, I have going. I seem to be at a place finally after switching URLs where I can just update now, and maybe do some other things around here like record some music or read a real book made of paper. All the film festivals were cool and I usually do not do the meme and tag things because..well... I am lazy. I am going to try to get mre involved with some of the group LAMB activities I think as the cooperation makes me work a bit better... take care and see ya.

Bill, in all honesty, and this is saying much as other festivals were very impressive. I think your list (minus Alien 3, for me a few times was enough) is my personal favorite. I also appreciate Fincher's debut and think it is hundred of miles better than Resurrection (interesting, but didn't work for me). I know and have seen every film except for Branded To Kill. This is a mystery to me! I'd love to see it though, I love Toho and all Post War Japanese cinema. I would pay very good money to get in line for this festival - thanks for responding to both me and Gilligan. Your site continues to amaze me - like I told you a long time ago - it keeps getting better and better.

Thanks for the visit and I am checking out your site now. For some reason right now I cannot leave comments on any blogspot.com sites but that is not uncommon as I often have to use proxys to read your site anyway, but I want to comment on your big selection. 24 movies! I would not have to the stamina. Anyway, as you see I am back home and finally finished with the long hard task of updating the new URL and doing on a new release of Wordpress, a rather tempermental platform to work from at best. Thanks for the visit and see you.
