Hey, hope you drop back in Bunche. I like raw punk as well. I found the Nazi in the song sort of funny really. My understanding, and I could be wrong, is that at least some of the “nazi-punk” stuff in the film was done by studio musicians mimicking that sound. That’s what I read in passing somewhere but did not have time to get all the details. It is a skinhead movie and like American History X paints a negative picture of the movement though Romper Stomper has been accused of glorifying it. I do not see it. It made it all look as appealing as the bubonic plague.

This is indeed a great movie, and thanks for posting “Skinhead.” I’m a black dude who’s originally from Connecticut and grew up on punk, and I love that song! (Nazi aspects notwithstanding, of course.)

Yea I agree. The fact I did not know him at the time made it more powerful. I recall thinking that maybe the tattoos were real even on the actor, like they got some skinhead thespian to do the role.

I think this is the first film I saw with Russell Crowe. He gave a strong performance. The film was definitely powerful.
