TWENTY MEN I ADMIRE MEME
Anyway, this is my 20 Men I Admire Meme. Gilligan over at Retrospace pointed that I blundered by selecting both Paul and John as they were members of a group. When it comes down to it Paul is still my favorite Beatle but I think as a persona, in and out of the Beatles, John certainly has the more engaging history. and certainly did some of the best song writing of the pair at times. I believe my decision is based on the men both as Beatles and as individuals after the band split up. Other wise I have to do a 21 Men I Admire Meme. I kept my choices to the fields of film, music and art and figured there is no point in listing Martin Heidegger or Nietzsche here. Anyway, I will try now to do the 20 Women I Admire Meme and I promise the choices will be based on their intellectual and creative attributes and not their boobs and buns.

By the way, you can’t choose Lennon AND McCartney… you have to choose one or the other.

Really? I can’t choose both? I didn’t know. Well, in any case at least I didn’t choose Lennon and Ringo Starr right? I used Photoshop Image Ready, a watered down version of PS that is much easier to use and takes less memory than PS does, to make the font stuff. All the font tricks are done with that since all I can do in WP is type the silver looking Veranda font, make it a little larger or change colors. That’s it.
I think I will have a much harder time with the 20 women meme. I just know it is going to come down to hooters sometimes and I’ll be transparent about it

There are certainly character issues with most of the guys here. I think some of the hostility that has persisted against Woody is understandable to a degree, but I personally have not let those failings on his part appreciate his work any less. Too bad he made a big mistake that brought him down a notch in my eyes but I do not see him as a role model for my behavior anymore than Jimmy Page, who I equally admire, but who was a junky basically. There seems to be some aspect of the men’s total character I am drawn to and I forgive them all their human frailties.
Went by your site and love your taste in music. Please come by now and then. And are you really a librarian? I would love to be a manly librarian as well.

Hey Bill. I like your list. If I had to select one Beatle, it would have been George. He was always my favorite. I enjoyed seeing your choices. I really liked seeing Gary Oldman up there.
