URANIUM WILLY’S BEATCAST 02: THAT’S ALL I NEED!
THE URANIUM CAFE BEATCAST 02: THAT’S ALL I NEED!
This is my second beatcast and I like the results a little more than the first. More comfortable with the Sony Acid 6 software than before and have been dabbling with some stripped down rock songs that will be up here eventually. I need to get some selections together with my own vocals eventually. My singing voice and my guitar leads are curious things to say the least but I will have them up here soon enough. A lot of technical ground broke on this one. Took the voice samples from I was a Teenage Werewolf with Michael Landen using Sony Acid 6.

Great! I bet this was fun to create. I played the recorder in fifth grade, and that was the last of my musical endeavors. Keep ‘em coming.

This is not easy to do but I actually do not play these instruments. They are called loops, tiny song samples that other people have made. I have a lot of them and then you need some recording software to patched and weave them all together. I think I used almost 40 separate loops on this one.
I am going to do some pieces with my own loops, my own guitar riffs and such, but it is even more time consuming to do that. As well I do not always have privacy here to record like that. I would have to be alone to. To have the room quiet. A rare luxury that I had planned on having today but now that has changed.
Anyway, this process here is daunting enough and I want to do more with movie dialog samples like this this one and the Uriah Heep/Faster Pussycat mashup I did for my podcast intro.
I am getting burned out with sitting in front of a PC though to be honest. Not sure what will be happening soon. May need a break.

This is real cool… This give me the will to put more sound into my blog. I cannot mix as you do but at least I can grab some theme from the movie I review as a start…

Nick-Thanks. Coming from you it is a big compliment. I think I am real sloppy and pressed for time but I have a slight knack for it. I want to spend a week on a song some time and not one evening! I am still gonna create a banner for Audioshocker and try to promote it form here a little.
Ghidorah-I know an upload site that works well with Blogger blogs at:
http://edublogs.tv/
It is good for storing MP3s and they have a nice looking player. If you use it be sure to tunn to autoplay off in the html (if you choose). Blogger is not easy to link music in all the time. But Gilliagan at My Retrospace and I have had good luck here.

this sort of reminds me of the Avalanches (frontier psychiatrist) and a touch of front 242.
love it.

I am sadly not familiar with those bands or outfits but will have to check them out now. I think some of my ideas come a little from Ministry but it is hard to hear really. Probably Rob Zombie as well. My lack of genuine talent gives me a sound distinct from all those artists
