FLASH FEARLESS VERSUS THE ZORG WOMEN, PARTS 5 & 6
I got this album actually when it was first released. I heard it played on the midnight album show of one of the local radio stations in San Antonio. It was released on the Chrysalis label-a sort of light green label with a red butterfly off to one side-which was also the label that backed Jethro Tull and Robin Trower. I understand that there was a comic book that was released with some versions of the album but not with mine and I could not find scans of such a thing online but I believe that this is a fact and not a myth. There was a small tour that did not last long as it did not feature any of the big stars that collaborated on the album, including Elkie Brooks, John Entwistle and Keith Moon, James Dewar (of Robin Trower), Jim Dandy and of course the inimitable Alice Cooper. It is a mini rock opera and the songs are all pretty good 70′s style rock and roll. The album all but vanished into obscurity but was recently re-released to accompany the Alice Cooper boxed set The Life and Crimes of Alice Cooper, which contains his two songs from the album. If anyone has scans of the comic book I would love to see them. Enjoy.
UPDATE: Some kind reader hooked me-and therefore you, the dedicated reader- up with some scans of the comic book that came with some versions of the original album. Here is the link to the best scans of the Flash Fearless comic you’re ever going to find.
1. ie Brookssh – Alice Cooper
3. Country Cooking - Jim Dandy
4. What’s Happening – James Dewar
5. Space Pirates - Alice Cooper
6. Sacrifice - Elkie Brooks
7. Let’s Go to the Chop – John Entwistle
8. Supersnatch – Frank Miller
9. Blast Off – Jim Dandy
10. Trapped [Repise] – Eddie Jobson

Hey Bill. Wow! I love those tunes. Plus that is one cool album cover. Thanks for posting this.

I will posting some info on this shortly. Sort of tired of writing really. Maybe tomorrow. Thanks. I used to have this on vinyl and I understand it was released (finally) in CD. This is a vinyl rip I found on a Rapidshare site. Enjoy this outer space rock-opera.

Have not been by in a bit – life tends to put a damper on ‘time – happy to see you still writing posts that keep me entertained! Love the album! I would totally miss gems like this if it wasn’t for you so thanks for keeping me informed.
Hope all is well with you and the wife. Still in China?

Great to hear from you Petra. I have not dropped by your site in a while and will do so after this. I am still and in China and still have a hard time getting into your site. I am, as I have said, see it but it is hard to leave a comment there through a proxy. You and a few others. I have no idea why that is. the wife is well and you can read about some of our life here at http://commentarius-perpetuus.blogspot.com/
I have been looking for this oddity for a few years really and it seems it is making the rounds again, brought back to life by the Alice Cooper boxed set that features his two songs on it.
Always nice to hear from someone from the early, early days of my site, like from about the first month. See you soon.

I have managed to scan the comic at 300dpi in colour; although, I had to scan each page twice to cover the whole page-size and then photostich the images. I think they look OK but they are about 4Mb each, so I will have to upload them to a ftp site and send you a link. Hope this is OK.
Keith.

Keith
Got them and had to resize them to load them up here as there is a file size limit. Some of the text turned out a little small but mostly on the parts where it is giving the lyrics to the songs, the rest came out okay and I think the general message came out. I will be posting that later today.
Thanks so much

35 years ago a rock event occurred in a studio.
A concept album was the term used at the time.
Efforts were made to create a stage event based on the album, and
while many noble attempts were there…in the end it didn’t get too far.
Which is a shame because as rock-concept-albums go it’s a great one.
Now at last the story can be told of:
Flash Fearless Vs. The Zorg Women Parts 5 + 6*
*In a legally-covered alternate mirror-mirror kinda universe.
we call it an ‘unauthorized FanDaptation’
Taking the J.K. Kellston approach of creating fan-based short films
slathered in geekdom to
a new high (or low) this version of the classic ditty
“COUNTRY COOKING”
an evilolive 3000 short unveiled TODAY:

Country Cooking
tells the tale of Ensign Matt (a redshirt) who spends another dull day
aboard a familiar star-ship, with too many cute chicks around,
well, thank goodness there’s a holodeck.
Made in loving respect to the source album, this geektastic no-budget epic features
Matt Lorenz as Ensign Matt
Beth Kellner, Heather Henderson, Scott Johnston
(with) Meggi Pi and Key.

I liked the Country Cookin’ song quite a lot. Not a big fan of Jim Dandy over all but he was the right one for this song. Thanks for the post.

I’ve always thought that 7 Of 9 from Star Trek was based on the Great Goddess Zorgarama.
January 24th, 2010 at 2:33 pm
I have the complete Star Tre TV series (the original and only) and will have to locate this episode. The only thing is that Star Trek predates this album ny ore than a decade. Do you mean one of the later Star Trek spin offs or is this a joke that went over my head?

Thanks for this! I own this album, with the comic book, but had no way to get the songs digitally. much appreciated.

Well sadly these files are defunct due to audio file hosting issues but thanks for the interest and I will be sure to get on replacing them. If you want them maybe check back in a few days and I should have them up by then. I will also replace my files to: Jimmy Page Death Wish II-John Paul Jones Screm for Help-Goblin Dawn of the Dead (rare versiobn) and a couple smaller audio posts. just waiting for someone to slap me into action…which you just did. Thanks, I needed that
